To whom it may concern,

I, _______________________, of _________________________________________________, respectfully request that I be excused from Jury Service because of my religious conscientious objections which are based on the teachings of the Holy Bible.

Respecting the judgment of persons, Jesus commanded "Judge not that you be not judged" (Mat 7:1) and I do not want to contradict his Word.

Respecting property, Jesus said, "If any man sue you at the law and take away your coat, give unto him your cloak also" (Matthew 5:40). Since I am told not to seek redress for myself, I should not be party in a judgment against another.

As a primitive Christian, I have refrained from political activity and from voting; and I enclose a copy of my Church's position in this matter. (The Las Cruces Berean Christadelphian Ecclesia).

It is not my intention to obstruct the operation of the judicial system, but to point out that I cannot participate in it because of my religious conscientious objections.

For the above reason I request that you grant me exemption from Jury Service.
